DADIU Game Selected for IndieCade

Creaky Old Memory has been chosen as one of 30 finalists for this year’s IndieCade. The games have been selected from a total of 350 games from around the World and will compeed about a number of prizes during the festival on Oct. 8-10 in Culver City, California.

Creaky Old Memory is developed by DADIU students during a one month production i  March 2010.

Creaky Old Memory puts players in the role of the elderly, Russian lady Tatiana, who must journey through the nooks and crannies of her self-fabricated house in order to reveal the truth about her own past. The game features a two-fold structure: First, the player must collect paintings which tell the story of the main character’s past. Then, the player is challenged to search for clues and hidden meanings in the paintings. These clues provide the player with the means to progress through the game.  Creaky Old Memory features adult themes, envisCreditsioned to appeal to a discerning audience of 35+ year olds, not necessarily used to playing video games on a regular basis.

During IndieCade games will be exhibited in galleries in all of Culver City. A part of the team behind Creaky Old Memory will travel to California to present their game.
